ARLINGTON, Va. — United States Nuclear Industry Council (USNIC) President and CEO Todd Abrajano recently joined The Nuclear Show Podcast, hosted by Adnan Belushi, to discuss the significant progress being made across the U.S. advanced nuclear industry.

Abrajano highlighted recent developments at Idaho National Laboratory, including new reactor technologies reaching criticality and the growing number of projects advancing toward demonstration and deployment.
The discussion also focused on three critical challenges facing the sector: establishing a reliable domestic nuclear fuel supply, expanding the workforce needed to support industry growth, and strengthening the nuclear supply chain.
In addition, Abrajano shared an overview of USNIC’s mission and discussed growing public and government support for nuclear energy as policymakers, regulators, and communities increasingly recognize the role nuclear power can play in meeting future energy needs and strengthening U.S. energy security.
