ARLINGTON, Va. — The United States Nuclear Industry Council (USNIC) has awarded TerraPower, the advanced nuclear energy company founded by Bill Gates, the Trailblazer Award during the Advanced Reactors Summit XIII in Seattle, recognizing the company’s leadership in advancing next-generation nuclear technologies.
The Trailblazer Award honors nuclear industry leaders and organizations that demonstrate bold leadership, technical excellence, and a steadfast commitment to shaping the future of clean, reliable energy. TerraPower has emerged as a leader in the advanced nuclear sector through its innovative reactor designs, progress toward commercialization, and efforts to strengthen U.S. energy security and global competitiveness.

The award was accepted by Chris Levesque, President and CEO of TerraPower.
